Hypnotherapy is an effective way of creating positive changes to any self limiting beliefs, behaviours and feelings. Our mind can be thought of as having two parts - the conscious and the unconscious. We use our conscious mind when we think. It is rational and we are aware of ourselves and our thoughts. The unconscious mind is hidden beyond our awareness and is the root of our habits, impulses, emotions and thoughts.
In most forms of therapy suggestions are made by the therapist at a conscious level, but our conscious mind can be flooded by negative self limiting thoughts. Hypnotherapy uses trance to enable the conscious mind to relax. This allows us to communicate with the more receptive and focused unconscious mind. This creates deep-rooted and lasting change.
Hypnotherapy isn't a miracle cure, it is a collaboration between a motivated client and a therapist who uses their skills to help the process along.
Healing through deep relaxation. Hypnotherapy is a psychological therapy used to help treat emotional and psychological issues, unwanted habits and undesirable feelings. it helps to find meaningful alternatives to present ways of thinking, feeling and behaving. Hypnotherapy is ditinctive from other therapys in that it attempts to address the client's subconscious mind. For this the client is usually in a relaxed state of mind. The client's imagination is used in combination with a range of techniques used to bring about long lasting beneficial change.
Hypnosis is 100% natural and safe. It is not possible for you to get 'stuck' in a hypnotic state, even if the Hypnotherapist walks off! You remain aware of yourself and your surroundings and you can voluntarily terminate the trance at any point. You can also speak at any time and can not be made to do anything against your will.
Hypnosis is an effective, relaxing and enjoyable experience that is used in many fields such as medicine, dentistry, corporate training, professional sports and law enforcement.
We all experience natural trance states during our daily lives. Perhaps you have been driving in your car and you can't remember the last few minutes or you pass through some traffic lights before wondering if you really looked to see if they were green.
You daydreamed and wondered where your time went. Maybe you locked the door to your house and had to go back to check because you can't remember actually doing it.
Your mind was elsewhere, relaxed, unconscious of what you were doing and yet wide awake and in control.
Some people experience a sense of relaxation and feel lethargic. Some people have a feeling of heaviness as they allow their body to relax, whilst others feel a sense of lightness. The experience is unique to you.
A Hypnotherapist induces this pleasant, relaxed state deliberately for therapeutic gain. In this heightened state of awareness you become very focused and able to concentrate on the things that will bring about solutions to your problem.
